Stop smoking tips – give up smoking
Smoking of any kind is bad, injurious to health. Smoking has all the negative effects in our body system. It is the cause of many diseases. Smoking is the single-most causative factor of death in this world.
So, smoking should be stopped anyhow. But how?
Stop smoking tips – give up smoking :-
- It is to be understood absolutely clear that smoking harms body. So this bad habit, addiction to be shunned. Make a conscious decision not to smoke.
- Develop a strong will-power to quit smoking.
- Have a conscious decision-‘not to smoke again’.
- When there is a strong urge, simply get a good bath, singing, while bathing.
- Don’t be alone. Try to have some companions, go on chatting, singing, dancing, laughing-consciously do it again and again.
- Enjoy more time with kids, close family members.
- Try honestly to be cheerful most of the times.
- When there is a strong urge to smoke-consciously go to nature-garden, adore small plants, flowers, and engage you actively in gardening. It is a useful hobby to avert smoking.
- Make your home “A SWEET HOME”-where you will feel guilty to smoke.
- Wake up at early morning. Have a good morning walk for an hour repeatedly murmuring-‘I WILL NOT SMOKE TODAY’. With patience and zeal, continue this for a week. You will feel no urge to smoke-rather you will feel rejuvenated, vitality will improve much. You will feel free. This is one of the most effective means to quit smoking.
- Do some PRANAYAMS, deep, breathing exercises in open air in early morning. This will develop your mind more positive.
- See with full heart open full eyes the shining beauty of the rising sun. Get soaked in the sun-rays; rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with God’s warmth.
- Drink lots of water. It cleanses our body system.
- Take a ‘SATTWIK AHAAR’ (more green vegetables, fruits, milk etc.).
- Have adequate milk or curd.
- Keep your mind restive and cool. This is to be sorted out very consciously and once for all-‘every man has a failure as well as a success chapter’. Forget the failure. Stop repenting. It brings depression thus inviting negative attitudes inviting addiction. So, learn to FORGIVE AND FORGET.
- Keep some small dried pieces of ginger, amla or some azwain granules. When there is an urge to smoke, chew a few pieces, followed by a glass of water. Smoking will be avulsed. Not liking like before. It is a very effective way to stop smoking.
- Take a multi-vitamin tablet once daily.
